¶ ARK: How to Restore a Backup
If you need to go back in time and restore a previous save, ARK automatically creates backups overtime that you can use to restore you save. To do so, you can follow these steps.
¶ Steps:
1. Open the File Manager
2. Navigate to /steamcmd/ark/ShooterGame/Saved/SavedArks/
3. In this folder, your current save is <mapname>.ark. The backups are the dated files with the map name, such as <mapname>.15.03.2024.11.49.39.ark. To restore a backup, simply rename one of these files to <mapname>.ark. Replace the existing one.
4. Once you've renamed your chosen backup, Restart the server.
