¶ Enshrouded: How to Set Up User Groups on a Server
The second major Enshrouded update introduced user groups, allowing players in certain groups to do certain actions. This is great for public servers who want to wait to give new players access to different server permissions. Here's how to set them up.
¶ Step 1: Find the User Groups
1. Open the File Manager
2. Double click enshrouded_server.json to open it
3. On the bottom you'll see userGroups, along with some different permissions.
¶ Step 2: Edit/Add User Groups
1. From here, you can edit the default group and add additional groups. In the example below, the default group has a password and can use all actions, whereas players without the password are only able to edit the base and world.
2. You can add as many groups as you would like. When finished, restart the server.
