¶ How to Set Up your Account Token for Mod Updating on your Factorio Server
Setting up your account authentication token is essential if you want to have a modded server that automatically stays up to date with the game. It's important to note that the server won't update the game version if the mods haven't caught up yet, so make sure to check your mods after a game update to see which ones are preventing the update from occuring. Here's how you can make your authentication token and make your modding experience even better.
¶ Steps:
1. Create an account on Factorio.com. It's easiest to create your account with Steam if you already own the game there.
2. Once signed in, click your profile in the top right next to the log out button.
3. Click reveal and copy your account token here.
4. In the Basic Server Settings, paste in your username and Token. Make sure Require User Verification is also turned on.
5. Save the settings and your server will now be set up to automatically update mods from the official Factorio mod portal.
