¶ How to Let other Minecraft Versions connect to your Server with ViaVersion
ViaVersion is a Paper/Spigot plugin that can be used with Minecraft versions 1.8+. This mod allows you to set up your server in such a way that players can join from a new version than what your server is running. You can also use ViaBackwards to let older versions join your server.
¶ Steps:
1. You can download ViaVersion from PaperMC's Hangar website. Check out their graph on what versions are supported.
2. Ensure your server type is set to Spigot or Paper.
3. Open the File Manager
4. Navigate to /minecraft/plugins/
5. Drop your ViaVersion jar file into this folder that you downloaded in Step 1.
6. Restart your server, and players on newer versions than your server will be able to join.
