Chromite is one of the new resources added in the Palworld: Feybreak update and is very using when crafting very late game gear. It is required to create Hexolite which is used to make armor and high level weapons. Here's how you can get Chromite efficiently.
First, you will need to create a metal detector to find Chromite. This isn't available until level 56, so it's quite late game. This will allow you to equip it and look around Feybreak Island for Chromeite. It is random where it spawns, but appear more often in caves and dungeons. You can also equip your metal detector while riding a mount to find it faster.
Another way to find Chromite faster is to capture a Smokie with the “Dig, Dog! Dig!” partner skill so that it can find Chromite on Feybreak Island for you. This also increases the amount of Chromite you get when you find it if you keep Smokie out when you mine it.
Smokie can be found and captured on the northeastern side of Feybreak Island.
When Chromite is found, you'll see a mound of stones with a flag on top. This means that something is hidden underground and you can mine it. With these steps, you should have no trouble finding plenty of Chromite to upgrade your armor and weapons.
