¶ Project Zomboid: How to Fix Malformed Packet Detected
It's a common issue that after you add all of your mods to the server you are met with constantly getting kicked due to a “Malformed Packet Detected" error that ranges in different types which is usually because some mods can trigger the built in anticheat. This issue has quite a simple fix.
1. Open the Advanced Server Settings (ini and lua)
2. Scroll down in the ini settings and find AntiCheatProtectionType
3. Set each numbered anticheat to false. This will prevent any more kicking in the future.
4. Press Save Configs & Restart Server
