¶ Enshrouded 1.0: What to Expect
Enshrouded leaves Early Access on October 15, 2026. Keen Games released the game in Early Access in January 2024. Since then, the game has had eight major updates and more than five million players.
Version 1.0 adds new spells, boss fixes, and performance improvements. This page tells you what changes and how to prepare your server.

¶ Combat & Magic
New options for magic builds.
- Nine new spells, including Blizzard and Ball Lightning
- New summons: fire, ice, and shock totems, and a Hollow Skeleton
- Wands have a new piercing heavy attack
- Eternal spells can be upgraded like weapons
¶ Boss & Gameplay Fixes
Fixes for common player issues.
- Fell Dragon Youngling lands on the ground, so melee players can hit it. Keen Games also fixed the health reset and the stuck boss bugs.
- Fishing: bait catches fish mostly from its own biome
- NPCs and pets get stuck in bases less often
- Updraft: Keen Games changed it based on player feedback

¶ Prepare Your Server
Do these steps if you host an Enshrouded server with us.
¶ Make a backup
Keen Games has not announced a world wipe. Make a backup before you update. To roll back, use Restoring a Backup.
¶ Restart your server
When 1.0 is available on Steam, restart your server. The server downloads the new version.
¶ Tell your players to update
Players must have version 1.0. If they do not update, they get a version mismatch error.
