Your dashboard is where you start, stop, configure and generally poke at your server. Log in at dashboard.indifferentbroccoli.com.
This guide covers the tabs every server has. Some games have extra tabs (Mods, Version, World Settings and so on), and those have their own guides under each game.
Your servers are listed on the left. Click one to open its tabs.
This is the main tab. It has your server status and everything you need to connect:
And the buttons:
Most games have a Basic Server Settings tab with the server name, passwords and other common options. Some have more settings tabs on top of that.
When you change something, you'll see Careful, you have unsaved changes. Click Save Config & Restart Server to apply it, or Reset to undo. Saving restarts the server.
Avoid special characters like quotes and apostrophes in the server name and description. They can break the config.
Shows your CPU and RAM usage. The graph scales to whatever you're using, so it doesn't show your plan's limit. A full-looking graph doesn't mean you're maxed out.
Open Monitor View opens a popup with the console and performance side by side, which is handy while you're testing something.
Shows the live server log, and you can filter it to only errors or warnings. On most games you can also send commands from the box at the bottom.
Some games need an admin password set in Basic Server Settings before commands work.
Servers that run for days without a restart tend to get unstable, especially with mods. The scheduler lets you automate that.
Use Add Another Command to stack more than one, like a daily restart and a weekly update.
Browse and edit your server files right in the browser. Double-click a folder to open it or a file to edit it. Right-click for rename, delete, copy, zip, unzip and download. You can also drag files or whole folders onto the page to upload them.
For lots of files or really big uploads, an FTP client is usually easier. See Using an FTP Client.
We back up your save once a day and keep the most recent ones on a separate machine, so they're safe even if something happens to your server.
Get everyone off the server before you make a backup. Saving while players are online can corrupt the file.
Moves your server to another data center: California (NA-West), Texas (NA-Central), Montreal (NA-East), Germany (EU), India (Asia-South) or Singapore (Asia-Southeast). Pick whichever is closest to most of your players and click Begin Transfer.
Transfers usually take 30 to 60 minutes and the server is offline the whole time, so don't start one right before game night.
Click My Account at the top of the server list.
If a payment fails, you'll lose access to the dashboard until it's sorted, but your server data is kept safe for a few weeks. Add a working card and retry the payment to get back in.
