ΒΆ What to do When You're Bitten in Project Zomboid
When you get bitten in Project Zomboid, it's not game over just yet. Yes, you need to accept your fate that you are going to die within a few days, but don't start over.
Even though you're going to die, you can respawn in the same world.
While yes you will lose your skills, you don't have to lose your loot. You can simply load your loot into a container in the world and grab it when you die. You can also lock your self in a closet before you die so you know where to find your old self, and kill them to get the items.
While it is technically cheating, if you're not ready to let your character die just yet, you can put yourself into admin mode which will cure all injuries on your character including bites.
Another option is to use the mod Antibodies. The mod introduces antibodies to counteract the infection to allow your character to recover over time, as long as you have good hygiene and take care of the wounds, your body will heal itself over time.
Lastly, there is the option to start a new game if you were so attached to that character. In the end, it's up to you the player, but there are plenty of options if you prefer to keep going.
