Commands are fun. No seriously. I mean, as a server owner or admin you don't want to break the immersion or anything. You just want to have fun. And sometimes power is meant to be abused. And fun is to be had. Aside from that, commands are extremely useful tools for managing your server. In this article we will be looking at six commands that you absolutely should know.
You can run these commands by pressing
Enter on your keyboard and typing in the chat. You need to be logged into an admin account.
Have you ever wanted to teleport directly to a player or a set of coordinates? Is there a cheater that you're trying to catch in the act? Whatever your case may be, you can use these commands to see what's going on.
/teleport “toUser” or /teleport “user” “toUser”
Stuck in a tight spot? You can use godmode to unstuck yourself. Simply switch into god mode and you won't be able to take any damage anymore. Maybe you could even prank your friends with this one…
A lot of fun if you pair it with godmode. This command allows the selected player to walk through walls and all solid objects. You can also use this to get yourself out of any situations where your character is stuck.
This command will let you broadcast a message to the entire server. This is really nice if you plan on restarting the server or you want players to know of an upcoming event on the server. If you pair this with a Discord bot, you can automate announcements on the server.
This command is pretty self-explanatory. Sometimes there's that player that's causing way too many issues on the server and just can't seem to behave themselves. With this command, you'll never see them on your server again.
/ban “user” and
If you're testing out a new mod, wanting to spawn in a cool vehicle to run over
your friends zombies, or just are really into cars, you can use the addvehicle command to spawn any vehicle at your feet!
/addvehicle vehiclename username/coordinates
