Yes. Full crossplay across every platform is confirmed for Valheim's 1.0 release including 2 previously unsupported platforms. You can use our guide here to set up crossplay on your server - How to Enable Crossplay.
Note: Crossplay and crosssave are different things. Crossplay lets different platforms play together in one world. Cross-save a save be used on multiple platforms. We have a table below detailing the compatibility for these.

| Crossplay | Cross-save | |
|---|---|---|
| What it means | Different platforms join the same world together | One player's save data follows them across platforms |
| Coverage at 1.0 | All platforms: PC, Xbox, PS5, Switch 2 | Xbox and PC only, and only through the Microsoft Store version |
| Steam vs. Microsoft Store PC | Can play together via crossplay | Can't sync saves, separate storefronts |
Crossplay servers use a 'join code' system rather than direct IP connections. Console and Game Pass players can use this code, or the in-game server browser, from the Join Game screen. Nobody needs your server's IP address for this. A dedicated server needs crossplay turned on specifically, it isn't automatic. See How to Enable Crossplay for the steps, and How to Join your Server to get up and running.
BepInEx (the process that allows you to run mods on valheim) is compatible with crossplay servers. Whether or not specific mods work on crossplay servers though will depend on what it interacts with and how it operates. The best process is to check the description for each mod you wish to use, which should contain installation instructions, dependencies required and incompatibilities.
If your group is entirely on Steam and wants mods, there's no reason to touch crossplay. If anyone's on Xbox, PS5, Switch 2, or Game Pass, you need crossplay on for them to join at all, and your mod options narrow to whatever works without a client install.
